Duke University School of Law, the University of North Carolina School of Law and the Wake Forest University School of Law offer loan repayment assistance to their graduates. The level of assstance NC LEAF provides will be coordinated with that which the individuals receive from their law school.

 

Public interest attorneys (prosecutors, defenders and legal services providers) working in Mecklenburg County, NC are eligible for assistance.  Funding is made possible through the generosity of the C.D. Spangler Foundation.  The Foundation's gift honors the legacy of Peter Gilchrist, Mecklenburg County District Attorney for thirty-six years. Currently all available funds have been dispersed and no new applications will be processed.

 

NC LEAF administers the Legal Aid of North Carolina loan repayment program for its employees.  This partnership has been in effect since 2007.
